Forum vB 4.05 New install transfer DB vb 3.8.7
 

I did a new fresh install of the CSM suite 4.0.5. I an running vB 3.8.7 on another server. I'm moving hosting companies while I'm at it.

IF I just do a complete transfer of the data from the 3.8.7 DB into the 4.0.5 DB is there anything I need to do to the new suite to re-index the existing data into the new forum?

Is there anything I need to inside the admin control panel.

I assume I don't need to use Impex as it's the same DB settings and I could have done an upgrade, but I wanted to get rid of some old mods and start with a clean DB.


It can't be this easy...nothing ever is in the end. What can of worms am I getting into?
