Hello, I was thinking about software piracy today, and I was thinking:

How about an OTP (one-time password) with a session along with the default customer number requirement for the install, and parts of the install are made online, e.g the sql query/code can be made modular from the vB, where the session authenticates the download during the install.

Also, how about a a callback somewhere in vB, which let's the system know on which domain the install is operating from, together with the customer number hash / license number, so that it can check against the registry.

Just some thoughts spewing out though, so don't bite me yet...
