Users bein randomly moved to COPPA group automatically

Hi, had a problem on our board for a long time now (since we merged 2 databases actually) and what it does is moves random members, at random times into the COPPA awaiting moderation group. The worst thing is it happens to my admin account aswell, and i have to wait around for another admin to manually change my usergroup back to admin.

Also, this is a huge problem as the users moved into the group are not shown on the group page in the ACP it shows 0 primery users and 0 additional users. So the only wayi have of knowing is members informing me. I also think i mauy be loosing members because of thsi as not all will inform me of the problem so i can fix it. The message users affected get is a ban messege.

This is becoming a huge problem and i assume its somthing to do with the database, i've ran checks on it and it comes back as everything ok, i've "repaired" it and yet the problem still exists. I've also tried setting up a automatic promotion from COPPA group to registered users but it wont work in the cases where users are added by this strange error/problem.

Really need some help, someone must have had this problem before? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
