In a statement issued by Al-Wefaq opposition, the party stated,
"The authority is targeting every opinion opponent, and the government can no longer stay"

Al-Wefaq condemns the attack on al-Tamimi's business and considers it as a clear and dangerous indicator to the authorities' violent strategy in taking revenge of every opponent.
Al-Tamimi's business was attacked by government gunmen just a few days after he criticized the government. Osama Al-Tamimi called on the prime minister to step-down, which is an issue most Bahrainis agree on, this government must resign.
Al-Wefaq stresses that such acts of the Bahraini government require an urgent appeal to the international community which is watching how this government is taking the country into a violence trap by using its security forces and non-formal militias to attack and kill the people. This illegitimate government intends to, and has gone through with its policy to silent criticizing voices to tell the world after that that it has a "different democracy".
Alwefq wonders whether the authority will respond through the Ministry of Interior by inviting those who hold weapons to kindly come and register their weapons? Those who hold the weapons are well-known and it is known that weapons can only be obtained through the Ministry of Interior.
The violence practiced by the government towards peaceful pro-democracy protesters is a useless option and will slip the country into violence. We stress that the political solution which guarantees that the people are the source of all powers, is the only way out of this crisis.
Killing the journalist Ahmed Ismail with live ammunition fired by regime militias , targeting the shops by the same militias , killing the on-ground activists such as Salah Abbas and targeting opponents; all these are bad indicators that the government's reactions are based on a revengeful background which aims to set the whole country on fire.
Mohammed Bu-Flasa, who was jailed for months with unfair trials, and Dr. Nihad al-Shirawi also was jailed for expressing her humanitarian opinion when she shed tears over a young man killed by the army and treated wounded pro-democracy protesters of the Pearl roundabout. All these are clear pieces of evidence that this brutal government's actions are all based on its dictatorial attitudes and has no exceptions, as any opponent is targeted.
