vBulletin Suite 4.05 but CMS and Blog not yet enabled so running forum only with vBSEO. I had my attachments stored in the file system. After upgrading to vB 4.05, I had a problem withj attachments not showing - this turned out to be a vBSEO issue, not a vBulletin issue. However, in my attempts to track down the problem, I tried changing the option for attachments to store them in the database. This was generating a lot of file not found errors (as it should given that vBSEO was providing incorfrect URLs). I therefore interrupted the change in storage type. So now my attachments are still stored in the file system. BUT... the size of my database has increased substantially so obviously some/many of the attachments were transferred to the database before the process was interrupted. Now I'm wondering about the best way to get rid of that redundant database bloat. Should I reinitiate transferring the attachments to the database and then reverse it once it completes to store them back in the file system? Or is that simply going to compound my problpoem by creating more dupliucates? Is there an easier way to get rid of the bloat? Suggestions? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
