my topic 4 today talks about an amazing love poem written by an amazing great poet
"If I read a book and it makes my body so cold no fire can ever warm me ,I know that is a poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off,I know that is a poetry"
This is one of the most famous Emily Dicknson's quotes
Anyway
I'm gonna give u friends a bbreviated commentary about her life in order 2 know the poet's feelings and grasp the theme of the poem
Emily Dickinson

MisS Dickinson was born in Amherst, her father was a lawyer and politician.Emily's family was very closely knit .she and her sister remaind at home and didn't marry>>>the best things that she ever did.She attended college for one year and made some trips to Boston. Many of her poems resemble hymns in form. There were several men acted as ateacher Or master to Emily. The first was Benjamin Newton, a young lawyer in her father's law office she refers to him as "a friend.who taught me Immortality.". Emily's next teacher was Chales Wadsworth,a married, middle-aged minister who provided her with intellectual challenge and contact with the outside world. It appears that she felt an affection for him and when he moved 2 San Francisco she removed herself from society even more than she had befor.Wadsworth may've been model of the lover in her poems, though it is just as likely that the literary figure is purely imaginary. She had only 7 poems published during her life time.In the last year of her life Emily seldom saw visitors, but kept in touch with her friends. After her death in 1886,her sis found nearly 1,800 poems that she had written.she writes about love and lover, whom she either never really found Or else gave up.She writes about nature>>my best. She writes about mortality and Immortality. She writes about success, which she considered never achieved, and about failure. Her poetry is read today throughout much of the world.Since Emily never prepared her poems 4 publication. However, regardless of details Or conflict ,there's no doubt that the solitary Miss Dickinson of Amherst is a writer of great power and beauty.
…………
AGAIN HIS VOICE IS AT THE DOOR
Again his voice is at the door
I feel the old degree
I hear him ask the servant
For such an one as me
….
I take a flower as I go
My face to jusify
He never saw me in this life
I might surprise his eye
….
I cross the hall with mingled steps
I silent pass the door
I look on all this world contains
Just his face nothing more
….
We talk in venture and in toss
A kind of plummet strain
Each sounding shyly just how deep
The other's foot had been
….
We walk,I leave my dog behind
A tender thoughtful moon
Goes with us just a little way
And then we are alone
….
A lone if angels are alone
First time they try the sky!
Alone if those veiled faces be
We cannot count on high!
….
I'd give to live that houre again
The purple in my vein
But he must count the drops himself
My price for every stain
….
In this Love poem Love is not mutual>> And this breaks heart
Emily's trying to show that the man is the center of her universe and she's willing to pay the price to relive the hour they spend together but she asks something return
….
Hope u all enjoy and like Emily's poem
