افتتح معالي وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس محمد جميل بن أحمد ملا عصر يوم الأحد 25 أبريل معرض "جيتكس السعودية 2010" الذي يقام بالتزامن مع معرض الاتصالات السعودي 2010م وذلك بمقر مركز معارض الرياض الدولي.

ويشارك بالمعرضين أكثر من 450 شركة من 17 دولة في مجالات تطوير محتوى الإنترنت ومعدات الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية بهدف الاستفادة من نسبة الإنفاق المتزايد في المملكة العربية السعودية على قطاعي الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات في ظل التوقعات ببلوغ حجم الإنفاق نحو 18.1 مليار ريال بحلول العام 2013م.
