I'm SERIOUSLY trying to move our forums over to IP.Board. To be honest vb4 looks like a clone of IB from the start. But to be fair vB was first under Jelsoft and IP copied them but now IP seems to be setting the trend and IB content with following, plus from what I've read IP has less bugs and most importantly... better customer support. I've been with vB since 2005 I DONT WANT TO MOVE. But I cant take it anymore! 1) the bugs 2) lack of official customer support 3) forum support threads go unanswered far too often as not enough official vB staff ensure the quality of forum each forum support thread, thus reducing the need for ticket support. I know all can be monitored but the presence is much less that compared to years ago. Interface with us please! The worst thing about the bugs is that devs want to be worshiped and spoon fed or else screw you and your bug! But everyone suffers that way. If we don't take it upon ourselves to get bugs escalated etc they never get fixed. Thats not how it works at IP. If someone mentions the word bug over there and they do not follow up with details etc. A member from the IP team STILL tries to confirm and fix. Yes it partly our responsibility but the pride creators of any product should drive them to not be satisfied to leave bug unattended.I feel like I'm punished every time I see a bug thats sits for 3+ months because the customer didn't follow vb commandments. A simple thread every week with "bugs that need to be confirmed/we need your help" I would jump on to help out. My question: Has anyone been over to IP and then back to vb? Just don't want to regret moving, this is my home. Posting a similar post on IP forum to see if anyone moved from vB to IP and stayed. To post this or not to post.... ok clicking submit. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
