Hello. Is this the support forum? Wayne asked me to create a thread in the "support forum for vb 4" so that he can help me. Hopefully, this is the right spot.
I'm having an issue. I purchased the VB Suite to be able to use the CMS as my "blog" to the general public about the site and to entice potential new members to join the private forum. Unfortunately, I tried to set the CMS to be viewed by everyone while still maintaining a private forum. So, after repeated tests to view the CMS page it wouldn't let me view the content without first logging in. So, I created a support ticket to find out what I'm doing wrong, and, apparently, according to Steve M, it can't be done.
So then I made the suggestion in the Suggestion forum and Wayne asked me to create a thread here because he says it can be done.
So, here it goes. I'd like to keep my forum private and the CMS public. Please let me know how to do this. I once tried setting the forum to non-private but having only registered members be able to view the forum but then even non-registered members could see the Forums, they just couldn't read the threads. I'd like it all invisible except for the CMS, and I would sincerely appreciate any advice/help.
