Howdy.
I finally got 4.0.1 up and running and I have users testing it before I go "live". I was reading http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...aff-can-t-help and I decided I wanted to do the suggested fix (ACP > Attachments > Attachment Storage Type > Move Items to a Different Directory) and then try a 3mb attachment on my own forum and see what happened. * I attach a JPG as either "Insert Inline" or "Insert Attachment", post the thread, click on the thumbnail in the post and then I get the "attachment window" (black window, spinning gear), but no picture -- and I let it go for about 5 minutes. Firefox PC 3.6 (full, not the RC or betas). * I tried opening in IE 8 and it worked as it's supposed to. Same with Opera 10.10. However, I tried Firefox Mac 3.5.7 and same problem. I also tested Firefox 3.6 in Parallels (VM) on my Mac and same problem. * In Firefox, if you click on the "spinning gear", the full picture will display. Close the picture (or, as the case may be, click the Back button), click on the thumbnail in the post, it works as it's supposed to. * Firefox seems to have no problems with smaller size pictures. As many details as I can: * PC: Dell Optiplex 755, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit (fully updated); Firefox 3.6, IE 8, Opera 10.10 * Mac: Aluminum iMac 24", MacOS 10.5.8 (fully updated); Firefox 3.5.7 * vBulletin 4.0.1 (fully updated, default skin, no add-ons installed) * php 5.2.5 * mySQL Server version: 5.0.87-community * mySQL MySQL client version: 4.1.22 * Apache/Linux server ================ FWIW, without doing the ACP thing, as described above, I only get a half of a picture displaying with files larger than 2mb, so it's definitely a good thing to do! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
