Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to give me your input. Here's the deal. I run a smallish gaming forum. Currently, I use the vB 3.8 forums, with the vBA CMS. Now, I've heard that vBA will be updating their CMS to work with vB4, so I know that will be an option soonish. My question is as follows: With an active userbase of about 50 people, will simply upgrading the forums and waiting for the vBA to catch up be viable? Is the current (and future - I'm more concerned with the long term here than just a few months) version of vB4's native CMS as powerful, or at least close to that I'm use to with vBA? Basically, I need to renew my license. I will be using vB4 for the forums - but is it worth shelling out for the full suite, or do you think the forums alone will be good enough considering vBA should catch up sooner or later. I'm just concerned with dropping the extra cash for the suite but never actually using the functionality I payed for. Your opinions are greatly appreciated! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
