It would be nice if we could add an additional function to the infraction system - a 'reminder' system* that mods could use when they need to send someone a 'reminder' about the board rules* but it isn't serious enough to qualify as a warning or infraction. For example if someone posts about politics* and they hadn't read the board rules and FAQs (who ever does at first??)* and didn't know politics wasn't allowed to be discussed in that area* the mod could send them a 'reminder' letting them know that politics was not allowed to be discussed.
I know ppl will say "but that's what the warning /infraction system is for - just give them a warning!"* however my forum is for women* and it's about reproductive health issues* and many of the women are very upset* very emotional* and having a very difficult time* and things like getting 'warnings' feels very upsetting to them.
It would be nice to have an easy way to send reminders of forum rules* things that ppl need to know* but don't necessarily need a 'warning' for - like 'please don't use all caps* that is considered 'shouting'* or 'please* no politics'* or whatever the particular little preferences of your forum might be* things that people could use an official 'reminder' of* but don't need to be slapped down with a 'warning'.
Also it would be nice to be able to set an 'expire' time for the warnings* and after x amount of time they'd vanish from the infraction section of the user's profile
