The National Security Adviser, Joshua Hamidu has apologised to former Vice President Professor Atta Mills and his wife for the manner in which, officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) seized some vehicles from their residence. The BNI had explained that the vehicles were ceased because they used security number plates but Professor Mills who believes the action was to discredit him has demanded an investigation from the government. He was talking to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi about the manner the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr S. K. Boafo, was alleged to have intervened in a case involving the illegal felling of timber in a sacred grove at Bonwire in the Ejisu-Juaben District by two chainsaw operators.
