Forty Questions on Political Views and Activities of Opposition's Delegation in Cairo
Talks of dialogue and political resolution are of no credibility

Al-Wefaq denounced authority's summon to its SG, Sheikh Ali Salman, after his visit to Egypt, between 7-12 October, heading a delegation of the opposition. Al-Wefaq considered the summon a trial to political opinion and activity within the regime's security policy to ban rights and freedoms.
Al-Wefaq stated that its Secretary General was asked around forty questions during interrogation Sunday morning. The questions were about the reasons of the delegation's visit to Cairo and the parties which it had met with and what went on in these meetings. He was also asked what he meant by "revolution" when he talked to Egyptian media. Other questions related to Al-Wefaq's stance towards violence and the opposition's views towards the happening events in Egypt and the Egyptian political parties' stance.
The Secretary General affirmed that the opposition demands freedom, democracy, equality and respect to human rights. These are legitimate demands that will not stop and will go on through peaceful movements until the people's demands are met through political resolution, he said. The peaceful approach is a strategic choice to achieve the legitimate demands of the people for a democratic transition, he stated.
Al-Wefaq expressed its denouncement of such measure, stating that pro-government parties had visited Egypt, Syria, Turkey and other states, and the regime welcomed and supported them.

Al-Wefaq also stated that this measure indicates that talks about dialogue and political resolution are not serious as freedoms of expression are being pressed.
